Brainsí Gaeltachta i measc an bhreis is 100 brainse de Bhanc na hÉireann atá le dúnadh

| Tuairisc.ie | , ,

Tá dhá bhrainse de chuid Bhanc na hÉireann sa Ghaeltacht i measc an bhreis is 100 brainse atá le dúnadh ag an mbanc ar fud na tíre.

I nDún na nGall atá an dá bhrainse Gaeltachta atá le dúnadh, an banc ar an mBun Beag agus an ceann ar an gClochán Liath.

Tá roinnt brainsí eile a bhíonn ag freastal ar phobal na Gaeltachta le dúnadh freisin – brainse sna Gleannta i nDún na nGall, in Áth Buí i gcontae na Mí, agus in Uachtar Ard i gcontae na Gaillimhe.

D’fhógair Banc na hÉireann ar maidin go raibh siad chun 88 brainse ar fad a dhúnadh an taobh seo den teorainn agus 15 ceann eile ó thuaidh di.

Dúradh nach gcuirfeadh an cinneadh seo aon mhairg ar chustaiméirí go ceann sé mhí ar a laghad mar gur ó mhí Mheán Fómhair seo chugainn a bheadh doirse á ndúnadh.

Dúirt Banc na hÉireann gurb é an t-éileamh atá ar bhaincéireacht ar líne is cúis leis na hathruithe. Dúradh gur brainsí féinfhreastail a bhí i bhformhór na mbancanna a bhí le dúnadh.

D’fhógair Banc na hÉireann chomh maith go rabhthas le dul i gcomhpháirtíocht leis An Post chun seirbhísí baincéireachta a chur ar fáil in 800 oifig ar fud na tíre, oifigí ina mbeadh daoine in ann airgead a lóisteáil agus a thógáil amach.
