Leabhar Gaeilge ar ghearrliosta na mórghradam litríochta do pháistí

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Tá leabhar Gaeilge ainmnithe ar ghearrliosta ‘KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards 2021’, na mórghradaim náisiúnta litríochta do leabhair do pháistí.

Tá an pictiúrleabhar MÍP ar cheann d’ocht leabhar a roghnaíodh ón 99 leabhar ar fad a bhí san iomaíocht do ghradam na bliana seo.

Is í Máire Zepf, a bhuaigh an gradam anuraidh dá húrscéal Nóinín, a scríobh MÍP agus is é Paddy Donnelly a mhaisigh an leabhar.

Dúirt lucht na ngradam gur “sárshampla é an leabhar pictiúr greannmhar bríomhar seo de scoth an chuntraphointe, ós rud é go bhfuil dhá scéal éagsúla á n-insint ag na focail agus ag na léaráidí.”

MÍP foilsithe ag Futa Fata agus dúirt an comhlacht foilseacháin go raibh siad “fíorshásta do Mháire agus do Paddy, beirt a chuireann a gcroí agus a n-anam isteach ina gcuid oibre i gcónaí”.

Is é MÍP an t-aon leabhar Gaeilge a fuair ainmniúchán i mbliana. Pictiúrleabhar amháin eile atá ar an ngearrliosta, The Haunted Lake le PJ Lynch.

Sé cinn d’úrscéalta iad na leabhair eile ar an ngearrliosta; Hope against Hope le Sheena Wilkinson, Savage Her Reply le Deirdre Sullivan, The Boldness of Betty le Anna Carey, The Falling in Love Montage le Ciara Smyth, The Monsters of Rockhaven le Pádraig Kenny agus Why the Moon Travels le Oein DeBhairduin.

Fógrófar buaiteoirí na ngradam ar an 25 Bealtaine mar chuid d’ócáid speisialta ag Féile Liteartha Bhaile Átha Cliath.
