1,361-cas-nua-fogartha,-160-othar-sna-hospideil-ag-an-vireas

1,361 cás nua fógartha, 160 othar sna hospidéil ag an víreas

1,361 cás eile den Covid-19 atá fógartha ag an Roinn Sláinte tráthnóna.

160 othar atá buailte ag an ngalar a bhí sna hospidéil ar maidin agus 26 díobhsan a bhí in aonad dianchúraim.

Dúirt an Dr Tony Holohan, Príomhoifigeach Leighis na Roinne Sláinte tráthnóna go gcaithfí cur leis an líon daoine atá á vacsaíniú.

“Dá mhéid atá vacsaínithe is fearr an chosaint a bheidh againn agus is túisce a bheimid ábalta na srianta sóisialta agus eacnamaíochta a mhaolú.”

Tá ionaid vacsaínithe siúil isteach á n-oscailt ar fud na tíre mar ar féidir le haon duine atá os cionn sé bliana déag clárú do vacsaín in aghaidh an víris.

D’iarr Holohan ar dhaoine a gcairde agus a ndaoine muinteartha a spreagadh le heolas cruinn a fháil agus an vacsaín a fháil chomh luath agus is féidir.

“Amach roimh na hoibrithe sláinte atá tugtha traochta, tá míonna fada an gheimhridh, séasúr a thabharfaidh leis an fliú agus galair riospráide eile agus beidh othair eile sna hospidéil ag lorg cúram ar cuireadh as dó de bharr an Covid-19 chomh maith cúram práinne.

“Táimid faoina gcomaoin agus tá sé ag dul dóibh go gcloífeadh muid leis na bearta bunúsacha sláinte phoiblí.”

1,471 cás a d’fhógair Roinn Sláinte an Tuaiscirt níos túisce tráthnóna. Fógraíodh go raibh beirt eile básaithe de dheasca an víris ansin.

234 othar Covid-19 atá in ospidéil ó thuaidh den teorainn, laghdú ó 244 inné, agus tá 31 acusan in aonad dianchúraim. Tuairiscíodh go bhfuil ráigeanna den ghalar in 80 d’ionaid chúraim i dTuaisceart Éireann.

Tá an chéad dáileog den vacsaín faighte ag 1,209,145 duine sa Tuaisceart agus tá an dara dáileog faighte ag 1,030,507 duine.
