1,423 cás nua fógartha, an baol a bhaineann leis an ngalar laghdaithe ‘go mór’ ag na vacsaíní

| Tuairisc.ie | , ,

D’fhógair an Roinn Sláinte 1,423 cás nua de Covid-19 tráthnóna.

286 othar a bhí buailte ag an ngalar a bhí sna hospidéil ar maidin agus bhí 63 díobhsan in aonad dianchúraim.

Dúirt Dr Tony Holohan, Príomh-Oifigeach Leighis na Roinne Sláinte go raibh “cosaint an-éifeachtach” ó dhrochthinneas á fáil ag daoine ó na vacsaíní. Bhí an baol a bhaineann leis an ngalar laghdaithe go mór de bharr na vacsaíní agus bhí sé tábhachtach go bhfaigheadh gach duine an tsnáthaid a luaithe agus ab fhéidir, a dúirt sé.

“Arís eile inniu tá tuilleadh dár sochaí agus den gheilleagar oscailte. Má tá lánchosaint agat leis an vacsaíniú agus má bhíonn tú ag cloí i gcónaí leis an gcomhairle faoin tsláinte phoiblí éagsúil d’áiteanna éagsúla, féadfaidh tú muinín a bheith agat go bhfuil an cur chuige is fearr agat chun tú féin a chosaint ón Covid-19.

“Má bhíonn comharthaí an tslaghdáin nó an fhliú ort – amhail casacht, fiabhras, tinneas cinn, scornach thinn, srón phlúchta nó srón ag sileadh – téigh ag féinleithlisiú láithreach. Ná buail le haon duine eile, ná bí ag freastal ar ócáidí nó ná téigh ag obair nó ar scoil. Socraigh tástáil PCR tríd an HSE a luaithe agus is féidir,” a dúirt an Dr Tony Holohan tráthnóna.

D’fhógair Roinn Sláinte an Tuaiscirt inniu go raibh ceathrar eile a raibh an víreas orthu básaithe le lá anuas. 1,145 cás eile den ghalar a fógraíodh.

2,513 duine a raibh an galar orthu a bhásaigh ó thuaidh den teorainn ó thús na paindéime.

34 bás a cuireadh ar an taifead le seacht lá anuas, laghdú ón 51 bás a bhí i gceist an tseachtain roimhe sin.

Tá 384 othar Covid-19 in ospidéil an Tuaiscirt, i gcomparáid le 479 Dé Máirt seo caite.

32 othar atá in aonad dianchúraim.
