An tAthair Micheál Mac Gréil – Dlúthchara Feachtas ar lár

| fionnuala |

Ó Aoife Nic Lughadha, Cathaoirleach Feachtas

Airíonn muid uainn Micheál Mac Gréil S.J. a d’imigh ar shlí na fírinne ar an Satharn an 21 Eanáir. Duine den cheathrar is fiche a bhunaigh Feachtas Óg-Ghluaiseacht na Gaeilge ar an 1 lá Mhárta 1980. Bhí sé i gcónaí tiomanta don Óige agus don Ghaeilge.
Chaith sé breis is fiche bliain mar chisteoir ar Feachtas agus bhí sé i gcónaí ar fáil chun comhairle a thabhairt dúinn.Bhí sé ina chathaoirleach ar an bhfochoiste um Obair Óige i gComhairle Náisiúnta na nÓg (NYCI) agus ina Leas-Uachtarán ar an gComhairle ó 1982-1983.
Bhronn sé buanchorn an tAthair Mícheál Mac Gréil ar Feachtas do Chraobhchomórtas Tráth na gCeist agus bhí sé i láthair gach uile bhliain chun an corn a bhronnadh ar na buaiteoirí, go dtí gur bhuail COVID muid. Is ócáid bhrónach, goinbhlasta a bheidh ann dúinn i bhFeachtas i mbliana nuair a bhronnfar an corn ar na buaiteoirí ag an gCraobh.
Guímid go mbeidh sé ar ár gcumas obair fá choinne na síochána, mar a rinne Mícheál ina saol, ag cothú tuiscint idir dhaoine, tríd an dearcadh a scarann óna chéile muid a cheistiú agus a chreimeadh.
Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal, dílis.
