Eisceacht déanta ag Brendan Gleeson do ‘Nuacht RTÉ/TG4’ ag na BAFTAs

| NÓS Suíomh Gréasáin | ,

Chuaigh an t-aisteoir cáiliúil Brendan Gleeson as a bhealach le hiriseoir de chuid Nuacht RTÉ/TG4 a aimsiú ag Gradaim na BAFTAs a bhí ar siúl i Sasana aréir. Níor thug cliar agus foireann The Banshees of Inisherin aon agallamh eile ar an gcairpéad dearg nuair a tháinig siad chuig an Royal Albert Hall in London aréir, ach rinne Brendan Gleeson eisceacht do Chaoimhe Ní Laighin a bhí i láthair ar son Nuacht RTÉ/TG4.

Dúirt Caoimhe lena comhghleacaí in RTÉ Máirín Ní Ghadhra ar an gclár Adhmhaidin ar RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta inniu go ndeachaigh Brendan as a bhealach nuair a tháinig sé isteach chuig an amharclann aréir le hí féin a aimsiú.

“Bhí scéal iontach ag baint le Brendan Gleeson. Tháinig an criú ar fad [ó The Banshees of Inisherin] thar a bheith déanach agus bhí a fhios againn nach bhfaigheadh muid an deis le labhairt leo mar bhí siad chomh déanach sin go raibh an cairpéad dearg ar tí dúnadh. Chuir mé aithne ar dhuine de na ushersagus dúirt mé leis go mbeadh muid i dtrioblóid mura bhfaighimis Paul Mescal agus Brendan Gleeson mar tá muid ag craoladh i mionteanga agus d’iarr mé ar a rá le Brendan Gleeson teacht chugainn nuair a thiocfadh sé isteach.

Shiúil criú na Banshees isteach agus níor labhair siad leis na meáin eile, ach dúirt an usher le Brendan Gleeson é agus tháinig sé chugainn le Colin Farrell agus bhí sé ar cheann de na heispéiris is fearr go dtí seo i mo ghairm craolacháin,” a dúirt Caoimhe Ní Laighin.

Thug Brendan agallamh beag do Chaoimhe a craoladh ar Nuacht RTÉ/TG4 inniu.

Mar a tuairiscíodh cheana, dheimhnigh aisteoir eile le Gaeilge, Paul Mescal, do TG4 go bhfuil spéis mhór aige páirt a ghlacadh i scannán Gaeilge amach anseo in agallamh a thug sé don láithreoir Caitlín Nic Aoidh.
