This is an online gathering organised by Sharon Ní Chuilibín of Tory Island Living Archive, together with the good women of Freumh is Fás, and Frances Mac Eachen, co-founder of the Gaelic Narrative Project.
The Tory Island Living Archive was initiated in September 2021 with the goal of gathering together the rich cultural heritage of the Island and a vision of connecting with other communities of language and place - as the online realm allows us to do.
Freumh is Fás are a community organisation sowing seeds of intentional community, honouring Gáidhlig language and traditions while nurturing a vision of living in harmony with one another and the natural world.
The Gaelic Narrative Project has been weaving connection through online meetings among Gaels from Alba and Nova Scotia, seeking to strengthen those narratives that sustain Gaelic language, culture & community.
This event is organised as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge and is open to all levels of fluency, including those who are at the start of their journey in reclaiming roots in language and culture - celebrating our shared heritage as part of a global Gaeltacht.
Our gathering will be lovingly facilitated through Gaeilge, Scots Gaelic & English, and feature poetry, song, comhrá & beannachtaí.
Deardaoin, 9ú marta @ 7.00 in.
