FAQs

Eagarthóir Irise

Labhair Foireann PEIG.ie le Maitiú le déanaí faoina thaithí i saol gairmiúil na Gaeilge mar eagarthóir ar an iris idirlín NÓS.ie.

Cad is ainm duit?

Maitiú Ó Coimín

Cén earnáil ina bhfuil tú ag obair?

Is mise eagarthóir na hirise cultúir NÓS.ie

Cad a bhí mar spreagadh duit dul ag obair leis an nGaeilge?

Oibrím i nGaeilge mar bhainim leis an bpobal Gaeilge agus feictear dom go bhfuil sé tábhachtach na scéalta atá ag an bpobal sin a fhoilsiú.

Cad é an cúlra oideachais atá agat? An raibh baint ag an nGaeilge leis?

Fuair mé mo chuid scolaíochta i mBéarla ach bhí an cúrsa ollscoile san iriseoireacht i nGaeilge in Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath. Tá cúrsaí éagsúla sa gcruinnscríobh déanta agam i gcaitheamh na mblianta freisin.

Cad é an rud is mó a thaitníonn leat faoi do phost?

Is maith liom go gcasaim le go leor daoine éagsúla ar fud na hÉireann agus go gcloisim na scéalta aisteacha iontacha atá acu.

An mbíonn an Ghaeilge in úsáid agat lasmuigh den obair? Céard iad na deiseanna atá ann?

Labhraím an Ghaeilge chuile lá le cairde agus gaolta. Bhog mé go Baile Átha Cliath ag tús na bliana seo agus tá i bhfad níos lú deiseanna Gaeilge a labhairt go leanúnach rialta anseo ná mar a bhí mé ag cur fúm i gConamara ach mar sin féin bíonn imeachtaí maithe ar bun ar fud na cathrach ag ar féidir an Ghaeilge a labhairt. Labhraím chuile lá í ar na meáin shóisialta freisin.

Cad iad na príomhdhualgais a bhíonn agat?

Ábhar a choimisiúnú agus a roghnú do NÓS, eagarthóireacht a dhéanamh ar ailt, agus an suíomh idirlín a riaradh.

Cad a mholfá do dhaoine a bhfuil suim acu a bheith ag obair leis an nGaeilge?

Más spéis leat an tseodóireacht, gabh leis an ngaibhneacht agus labhair Gaeilge i do cheardlann, más maith leat an aisteoireacht, glac páirt i ndrámaí Gaeilge, más fút a bheith i do spásaire, déan chuile iarracht a chinntiú gurb í an Ghaeilge an chéad teanga a labhrófar ar Mhars.
