‘Níl an próiseas soláthar díreach féaráilte do phobal Uachtar Ard nó d’aon áit eile’ – Seán Kyne

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Tá ráite ag Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta agus Príomh-Aoire an Rialtais Seán Kyne nach bhfuil an próiseas soláthar díreach “ceart ná féaráilte do phobal Uachtar Ard, nó do phobal ar bith eile”.

Ag labhairt dó ar an chlár Adhmhaidin ar RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta inniu, cháin an Teachta Dála as Gaillimh cur chuige na Roinne Dlí agus Cirt i leith na ceiste.

“Níl an próiseas ón Roinn Dlí agus Cirt, níl sé féaráilte do phobal mar seo.   Ní raibh sé féaráilte riamh. Tá an próiseas ann le 20 bliain.

“Tá an stát ag déileáil leis an bhfadhb seo le tamall.  Tá an stát faoi an-bhrú agus níl an spás do na teifigh seo aon áit sa tír. Tá dualgas orainn mar stát ach … níl an próiseas féaráilte do phobal Uachtar Ard nó d’aon áit eile agus tá a fhios agam go bhfuil an-imní orthu.”

Dúirt sé gur thuig sé “an imní” atá ar dhaoine faoin gceist.

Chas Kyne le cuid de na daoine a bhí i mbun agóide inné mar gheall ar an scéal go bhfuil ionad soláthar díreach beartaithe d’fhoirgneamh ‘The Connemara Gateway Hotel’ in Uachtar Ard.

“Bhí mé taobh amuigh den Óstán Gateway maidin inné.  Chas mé agus labhair mé leis na daoine ag an agóid.  D’fhreagair mé ceisteanna.   Daoine áitiúla a bhí ann agus tuigim an imní atá orthu.”

“Níl an próiseas ceart féaráilte, ach tá dualgas ar an stát ag an am céanna, ach ní bheidh ról agamsa sa chinneadh seo agus sin ceann de na fadhbanna.”
