‘Domsa, is ionann an Gheamaireacht agus an Nollaig’ – Diarmuid de Faoite

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Beidh geamaireacht na Nollag ‘don teaghlach ar fad’ á léiriú sa Taibhdhearc i nGaillimh an tseachtain seo.

Leagan de scéal iomráiteach Peter Pan atá i ngeamaireacht nab liana seo ina bhfuil Peter Pan, an buachaill nach bhféadfadh fás suas, le feiceáil agus é ina fhear fásta.

Dúirt Cillian Ó Donnchadha, stiúrthóir ‘An Dara Réalt’ go bhfuil “geamaireacht nua den scoth” scríofa ag Doireann Langford, a insíonn scéal Peter Pan agus é ina athair agus “an chraic, an chrógacht agus an eitilt caillte” aige.

“Tá samhail againn ar fad de Peter Pan, ach céard a tharlaíonn nuair a fhásann sé suas? Tá bean aige, páiste, jab agus morgáiste,” a dúirt sé.

Dúirt Diarmuid de Faoite, atá i bpáirt Peter Pan sa gheamaireacht, go bhfeictear conas mar a éiríonn le Peter Pan “an spraoi a thabhairt ar ais ina shaol agus breith ar a óige arís”.

Tá páistí ó chathair agus ó chontae na Gaillimhe sa léiriú chomh maith le haisteoirí aitheanta, ina measc Aindrias de Staic, Mairéad Ní Chonghaile agus Hilary Bowen Walsh.

Ag labhairt dó le Tuairisc.ie, dúirt Diarmuid de Faoite go raibh “an-áthas” air a bheith páirteach i ngeamaireacht na Taibhdheirce, ócáid a tharraingíonn “pobal na Gaeilge le chéile” gach bliain.

“Domsa, is ionann an Gheamaireacht agus an Nollaig. Seo í mo Nollaig-se”,” a dúirt sé.

“Bíonn muid ar fad gafa le rudaí éagsúla i rith na bliana ach is dóigh liom go dtugann an gheamaireacht pobal na Gaeilge le chéile. Tagann ceoltóirí, aisteoirí, tuismitheoirí agus pobal na Gaeilge uilig le chéile le haghaidh na geamaireachta. Rud iontach atá ann,” a dúirt de Faoite.

Beidh seónna tráthnóna agus oíche den gheamaireacht á léiriú sa Taibhdhearc an tseachtain seo.
