An chéad ‘Pup-Up’ Gaeltacht le tarlú i bPáirc an Fhionnuisce

| Maitiu O Coimin |

Tiocfaidh cainteoirí Gaeilge agus a gcuid madraí Gaelacha le chéile an deireadh seachtaine seo don chéad “Pup-Up Gaeltacht” i bPáirc an Fhionnuisce i mBaile Átha Cliath.

Is é Ian Mac Gabhann, atá ag obair le Gael Linn san ardchathair, a tháinig aníos leis an gcoincheap don Phup-Up Gaeltacht. Dúirt sé le NÓS go n-airíonn sí uaidh a mhadra féin ó d’fhág sé teach a mhuintire agus go raibh sé ag iarraidh deis a thabhairt do dhaoine le Gaeilge casadh le chéile ar bhealach sóisialta.

“Tháinig an smaoineamh chugam go gheall go n-airím uaim Sugar, mo mhadra atá ina cónaí le mo thuismitheoirí. Níl peata agam san árasán ina bhfuil mé faoi láthair, agus airím uaim an comhluadar a ghabhann leo. Is deis í seo do dhaoine a bheith amuigh faoin aer, ag bualadh le daoine eile le Gaeilge, agus deis do na madraí bualadh le madraí eile,” a dúirt sé.

Beidh an Pup-Up Gaeltacht ag teacht le chéile ag Cros an Phápa i bPáirc an Fhionnuisce Dé Domhnaigh an 2 Feabhra ag 13.00.

“Ní chaithfidh na madraí ardchaighdeán Gaeilge a bheith acu, ach beifear ag súil go mbeidh cúpla focal acu ar a laghad. Ní bheidh fáilte roimh chait,” a dúirt Ian Mac Gabhann.

Foilsíodh leabhar darbh ainm Teach Your Dog Irish  le Anne Cakebread an bhliain seo caite.
