Stiúrthóir Seirbhísí Forbartha Fhoras na Gaeilge le dul ar scor

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Tá Stiúrthóir Seirbhísí Forbartha agus Rúnaí Bhord Fhoras na Gaeilge, Éamonn Ó hArgáin, ag dul ar luathscor.

Tá aithne mhór i saol na Gaeilge ar Éamonn Ó hArgáin, a chaith 41 bliain ag obair do Bhord na Gaeilge agus Foras na Gaeilge.

Beidh Ó hArgáin, arb as an bhFionnúig i dtuaisceart Chiarraí ó dhúchas dó, ag dul ar scor ag deireadh mhí Aibreáin.

Ag plé le scéimeanna pobail a bhí sé nuair a thosaigh sé ag obair do Bhord na Gaeilge i 1980 agus bhíodh sé ag plé leis an earnáil phoiblí ina dhiaidh sin mar chuid de Phlean Gníomhaíochta na Gaeilge 1983-1986.

Ó bunaíodh Foras na Gaeilge i 1999 bhí Ó hArgáin ina Rúnaí ar Bhord na heagraíochta trasteorann. Ó ceapadh ina Stiúrthóir Seirbhísí Forbartha é bíonn sé ag plé le mórán gach réimse d’obair na heagraíochta.

Thréaslaigh Príomhfheidhmeannach Fhoras na Gaeilge, Seán Ó Coinn, a thréimhse breis is dhá scór bliain ag plé le hearnáil na Gaeilge leis, agus ghabh sé buíochas leis as a shaothar.

“Is beag duine i saol na Gaeilge ná sa saol poiblí nach raibh plé ag Éamonn leo ar fud an oileáin. Níl aon amhras ach go bhfuil a lorg fágtha aige ar bhealach an-suntasach ar earnáil na Gaeilge thuaidh, theas, thoir agus thiar, agus ar gach gné d’Fhoras na Gaeilge. Guím gach rath air sna blianta atá le teacht,” arsa Seán Ó Coinn, Príomhfheidhmeannach Fhoras na Gaeilge.
