Buntáistí an Ghaeloideachais

Buntáistí an Ghaeloideachais

| Dáithí Anraí |

Le deich mbliana anuas tá fás 41% tagtha ar líon na ndaltaí  sa chóras Gaeloidheachais ó thuaidh, sin níos mó na 7,000 duine óg atá anois líofa in dhá theanga. Tá anois 44 naíscoil, 35 bhunscoil agus 5 mheánscoil i dtuaisceart na tíre.

Tá léar mór buntáistí ag baint leis an Ghaeloideachas. De réir Chomhairle na Gaelscolaíochta, bíonn féinmheas níos fearr ag páistí a fhreastalaíonn ar Ghaelscoileanna agus bíonn scileanna cumarsáide agus tuisceana níos mó acu. Foghlaimíonn siad teangacha eile gan an oiread sin stró agus tá rochtain acu ar dheiseanna breise fostaíochta.

Agus sin ráite, tá go leor tuismitheoirí ann atá go fóill burtha faoina bpáistí a chur chuig Gaelscoil.

Thug Meon Eile cuairt ar Naíscoil Bhreandáin agus Bunscoil Phobal Feirste in iarthar Bhéal Feirste agus labhair muid le beirt tuismitheoirí atá ag obair sa earnáil Ghaeloideachais.
