Ryan Tubridy ag éirí as The Late Late Show

Tá Ryan Tubridy chun éirí as The Late Late Show ag deireadh an tséasúir.

Dúirt sé gur phribhléid a bhí ann an clár cainte fadbhunaithe a chur i láthair le 14 bliain anuas.

Ghabh sé buíochas lena chomhghleacaithe in RTÉ agus leis an lucht féachana agus lena mhuintir.

Níl aon chinneadh déanta go fóill faoi cé a thiocfaidh i gcomharbacht ar Tubridy.

Dúirt Ard-Stiúrthóir RTÉ Dee Forbes gur chinntigh Ryan Tubridy go raibh gean ar leith ag an bpobal i gcónaí ar an gclár cainte agus luaigh sí go háirithe a chuid oibre ar The Late Late Toy Show.

Dé hAoine an 26 Bealtaine a bheidh a chlár deireanach ag Tubridy mar láithreoir ar an seó. Leanfaidh sé air ag cur i láthair a chlár maidine ar RTÉ Radio One.

In 2009 a thosaigh Tubridy mar láithreoir ar The Late Late Show, atá á chraoladh ó 1962.

I measc na ndaoine atá á lua mar chomharba Tubridy, tá Miriam O’Callaghan, Tommy Tiernan, Brendan O’Connor, Claire Byrne. Jennifer Zamparelli agus Ray D’Arcy.

Tá Daithí Ó Sé, ó Ghaeltacht Chorca Dhuibhne, luaite ag geallghlacadóir amháin ag praghas 16-1.

Tá ceangal na nglúnta ag Ryan Tubridy féin le Gaeltacht Chonamara.  Bhíodh a shin-seanathair agus a shin-seanmháthair ag múineadh i Scoil Mhic Dara na Ceathrún Rua agus bhí a sheanathair, Seán Tubridy, ina dhochtúir leighis i mBéal an Daingin agus ina Theachta Dála do Ghaillimh Thiar. D’athraigh muintir Tubridy soir ar an Órán Mór níos deireanaí agus ba ansin a rugadh a athair.

Bhí teach saoire ag a sheanathair, ar thaobh a mháthar, Todd Andrews i mBaile na hAbhann mar a dtagann gaolta leis go fóill.
