Scoil Spreagtha

‘Scoil Spreagtha’ ina buntáiste suntasach do Bhunscoil Naomh Maolmhaodhóg

| Dáithí Anraí |

Thug Meon Eile cuairt ar Bhunscoil Naomh Maolmhaodhóg in Iúr Cinn Trá ar na mallaibh le fáil amach cad é mar atá ag éirí leis an scéim ‘Scoil Spreagtha’ sa scoil.

Is scéim chreidiúnaithe de chuid Gael Linn í ‘Scoil Spreagtha’. Tugann an scéim tacaíocht agus áiseanna do bhunscoileanna Béarla chun úsáid na Gaeilge i dtimpeallacht na scoile agus tábhacht teangacha a chur chun cinn i mbunscoileanna ó thuaidh.

Cuireadh tús leis an scéim, atá maoinithe ag Foras na Gaeilge, ag deireadh 2023 agus tá níos mó ná 80 scoil agus 15,000 dalta ag glacadh páirte i mbliana. Na scoileanna a bhaineann critéir na scéime amach, bronnfar stádas ‘Scoil Spreagtha’ orthu ag deireadh na scoilbhliana.

Labhair Meon Eile le Séamas Mac Eochaidh, Oifigeach Polasaí Oideachais le Gael Linn, a rinne trácht ar an dea-obair a chonaic sé i mBunscoil Naomh Maolmhaodhóg ó thaobh na Gaeilge de. Mhol sé na buntáistí forbartha oideachasúla pearsanta a bhaineann leis an dara nó an tríú teanga a theagasc do pháistí bunscoile. De réir mhúinteoirí na scoile, tá feabhas ollmhór tagtha ar na daltaí de thairbhe na scéime agus cluintear an Ghaeilge go minic timpeall na scoile ó na daltaí agus na baill foirne, rud a fhorbraíonn pobal na scoile go mór.
